When we find ourselves in abusive situations we often ask “Why me?” Remember being abused is not about what you did or didn’t do. You can be beautiful, strong, intelligent and do everything right and still be victimized. You did nothing wrong. It’s what’s IN them. They are broken on the inside. They can’t be changed unless they choose to do the work. Most never will. Leaving is HARD, you become codependent, it shatters your self esteem. Women who appear to have it all together can be victims too. I believe that turning to your faith is key, garnering support from friends, family, church and support groups is important. You have to also do the work internally to recognize your worth. It’s not easy but it’s the key to getting out. You are WORTH it! If you need help finding resources reach out and I will help you find them where you are. Have Faith and know you are not alone.
