My Story
A Survivor’s Call to Action

I am a survivor of domestic violence, and my mission is clear: to stand with others who have endured or are enduring abuse. My journey has taught me that resources for victims are often scarce, leaving many trapped in silence and fear.
Despite being strong, educated, and independent, I too fell victim to emotional, financial, and physical abuse—patterns that began in childhood and followed me into adulthood. I rationalized harmful behaviors, became co‑dependent, and struggled to break free, even with counseling and support from loved ones. If it can happen to me, it can happen to anyone.
When I finally chose to break the cycle, I discovered how difficult it is to find guidance, legal protection, and safe spaces. This lack of support keeps countless victims from leaving abusive situations. The isolation is real, and the struggle is something most cannot understand without living it.
That is why I am building a Tribe of Warriors—a community committed to action, advocacy, and protection. Together, we can raise awareness, demand change, and provide strength to those who feel alone.
Your support matters. You can help by donating, attending fundraising events, sharing this message, or simply raising your voice for victims of domestic violence.

WHAT IS A SAFETY PLAN?
A safety plan is a set of actions that can help lower your risk of being hurt by your partner. It includes information specific to you and your life that will increase your safety at school, home, and other places that you go on a daily basis.
Safe Word:
What word or phrase can you use as a code in a phone call, text, or instant message to ask your family, friends, or neighbors to call for help without your partner knowing?
